40 Day Challenge – Take the challenge of reading through the New Testament in forty days.  This catagory has each of the scripture readings for the forty days along with some daily thoughts and comments.

Journeys – Is for you to share your story and read about what God is doing in other people’s lives.  Pastor Eric posts his thoughts from time to time on scripture, movies, and current events.  If you would like to post your story just submit it to Eric.

Day 1 – Matthew 1-7

While driving recently I was listening to a message by a pastor named Andy Stanley who was talking about John 3:16, ”For God so loved the world that he gave…”  God gave…he engaged us, he came to us, he offered himself to be in relationship with us.  As I listened to these first 7 chapters in Matthew I was continually brought back to the thought of how amazing it is that Jesus the son of God came to earth to live among us.  I get to know what he said, what he did, how he lived, and that he is interested in me.  What a wonderful gift!  What I hear God saying to me is, “Eric, I am here.  Watch and listen.”  How can I change to live out the Scriptures I have heard?  The answer to that is that if I am going to watch and listen I will need to carve out the time to be in His Word each day.  40 Day Challenge…let’s go for it!
