Day 5 – Matthew 25-28

I listened to the section yesterday and read it today.  A couple of phrases jumped out at me that I am still processing.  It feels like one could spend a lifetime on these four chapters and never get it all. 

25:16 says, “The man who had received the five talents went at once and put his money to work…”  It seems to me that he took what was given to him and took a risk.  The servant who buried the money played it safe.  When it comes to what God has given to us, do we at once put it to work, or do we play it safe?  

27:25  says, “Let his blood be on us and on our children!”  What a scary thought and yet it is through the death of Christ that us and our children have life to the full.
