Praying Forward

The message last Sunday on “praying forward” was challenging and convicting to me as I gave it.  As I consider the awesome privilege of connecting with the creator of the universe, I am humbled.  What do you hear God saying to you about praying forward?

Day 13 – Luke 20-24

This is nothing new…but, Jesus is really smart!  When the teachers of the law come to test Jesus, he is able to ask them a question and turn the tables on them.  How often I have had a conversation with someone and wish I had something to say.  Even when there is time to think about it I am unable to come up with something insightful.  Reading the scriptures about Jesus reminds me of how wise he was.  I find myself praying for wisdom more than I ever have before.  “Lord, don’t give me wealth or other worldly stuff, give me wisdom.”

Wouldn’t it have been something to have been on the road to Emmaus with Jesus that day?  I want to do better at discerning the scriptures and all that they say about him.
